Abyss is certified for In- Water Surveys (under-water inspections) of vessels and mobile installations (oil rigs)  by the following companies:

- Det Norske Veritas (DNV)
- Germanishe Lloyd and
- American Bureau of Shipping (ABS).

Abyss has many years` experience from such inspections, and has developed an approved quality program for divers who participate in operations.

Inspections by divers may prove a very profitable alternative to dry-docking for
- classification 
- regular inspections
- sales/ change of ownership
- suspected damage of vessel.  All inspections are documented with video and written reports, visual documentation of deviance / damage is provided.
