ROV pilot training
Abyss provides a five weeks` intensive course-, the only ROV-course in Norway which fulfils the requirements of the IMCA standard.
ROV means Remotely Operated Vehicle. ROV's are used for underwater work both inshore and offshore.
The Rov industry is an industry in rapid growth. This growth is related to the new oil fields located on depths far beyond divers` reach. An example is the development of the Ormen Lange field, where the depth is up to 1500 metres. These installations are designed to be installed, operated, maintained and inspected by ROV.
