Abyss offers accurate seafloor mapping by means of a Swathplus batymetric seabed scanning system. The resolution of the picture is excellent, as much as one (1) centimetre when conditions are favourable.  In shallow areas even tiny objects will be detected and identified.

The system is apt for:
- General seafloor mapping in 3d 
- Localising of waterpipes and drainpipes
-Planning of alignment routes for pipelines
-Mapping of aqua culture and fishfarming sites
- Assigments like mapping of unidentified objects in ports, searching for lost litems and missing persons.
Swathplus has a reach down to 300 metres. The horizontal reach is 7-12 times the depth of water. This makes mapping very efficient. The system may be mounted on ROVs. Then the reach may be extended to depths down to 1200 metres. Abyss delivers  unprocessed or processed 3 d- models of the seabed in most file versions.
